CFT (Comhairle Fo Thuinn) (The Irish Underwater Council) are the national organisation for Scuba Diving in Ireland. The Irish underwater hockey team are affiliated to the national body and as a member of the organisation CFT have pledged to help in any way that they can. This includes affiliation to CMAS the international organisation who will be organising the European and World Championships and an initial pledge of funding to help pay the entrance fee for the tournament.

For several years an international tournament has been held in Dublin each year growing from strength to strength. This year Underwaterhockeyireland.ie hope to organise an international tournament at a venue to be confirmed. We will be seeking teams from across Europe to participate.
